DSS is Dahua's unified security management platform for projects that need more than conventional CCTV monitoring. It brings video surveillance, alarm and event handling, intelligent search, access management, vehicle and parking applications, maintenance tools and third-party integration into a common operating environment.

The current DSS family spans different project sizes. DSS Professional is the core software platform for professional and enterprise systems and supports distributed, multi-site deployments. DSS Ultimate, introduced with DSS V8.8, extends the platform for very large and mission-critical projects. Dahua also offers DSS OneBox as a compact all-in-one workstation for small and medium deployments, together with other DSS appliances and DSS Express options.

Videcom designs DSS systems around the operational requirement rather than a fixed product bundle. This allows CCTV, access, ANPR, intercom, analytics and external systems to be combined where appropriate, while retaining a consistent operator interface and central administration.

• Multi-site and distributed deployment: scalable architecture for centralised management across multiple locations.
• Integration: ONVIF support plus Dahua API/SDK and supported bridge technologies for third-party systems.

DSS V8.8

DSS V8.8 expands the platform with web-client access across the DSS family, enhanced attendance and parking functions, natural-language WizSeek searching, text-defined alarms and the new DSS Ultimate platform. Feature availability depends on the selected DSS product, licence and connected devices, so Videcom specifies the appropriate architecture for each project.
